I wish

Sometimes I have a tendency to think outloud. My thoughts have been centered on wishing. When my sister and I were little, we would break the wishbone but not before closing our eyes and wishing...really making a BIG wish. Back then, we wished for stuff like, "I wish I was rich." "I wish I had a goat." "I wish I had a baby brother." "I wish I had long hair."

Now that I'm older, the wishes have grown along with my age...well...in some ways. Here are some of the things that I wish...

I wish I could play in the rain in bare feet.

I wish I was a little girl again...just for one day.

I wish that I could travel and see my blog friends face to face.

I wish I could stay in bed and watch old movies, eat popcorn and only come up for air because I'm getting Ben and Jerry's.

I wish I could spend time with my dad.

I wish that it rained chocolate dipped Oreos.

I wish that it was easier to love for most than it is to hate.

I wish that I could bottle the fragrance of a flower and smell it all the time.

I wish my co-worker who shares my office didn't crunch so loud when she ate her snacks.

I wish that in life there was a such thing as do overs.

What do you wish???

I wish time moved more slowly so I could read and respond more thoughtfully to blog...or maybe the real wish is that I wish I could relax and just be in the present for each one. I'm glad I came here. I think I'll take the time to follow your blog so I'll be reminded to come again.

Probably my one and only REAL wish would be that I would be allowed to see my granddaughter again. I've missed so much already, I'm sure she doesn't remember me. And it doens't get easier to be away from her as I had hoped it would. It hurts everyday.

Some of your wishes seem doable though. Why can't you play in the rain in bare feet? That sounds fun. And surely you can arrange one day where you can do not a thing mut stay in bed all day and watch old movies. Just one out of 365? Heck come here and we'll both lay in the bed watching old movies. And we wont have to get up for Ben & Jerry cause my hubby would bring it to us.

A do over would be nice, but then there is that whole "butterfly effect" I'll just trudge forward and make each day count. Happy Spring!

I wish I had enough time and money to travel more.
I wish I could let things go that I can't control.
I wish I could see girlfriend more often.

My last wish I can't write here but probably the most important.

EXCELLENT WISHES! I agree with most of them...and am glad that some of them don't apply (like the crunching co-worker).
I wish my kids lived much closer so I could see them every week. I wish my hubby didn't have to work so darn hard. And I wish I was 100 pounds thinner! I'm pretty sure that just sucked up my quota for wishes for the rest of my life!

I was blog bopping from the UBP and glad I landed at your place. I'm an aspiring writer (children's books) and it's great to find inspiration from other moms and writers. I'd love to hear more about your book. Enjoy the rest of the party.

I don't like to make wishes, because I feel it just sets me up to fall. I prefer to love and enjoy that which I have and that which comes my way. But that is me.....
And therefore, I wish that all your wishes come true.
Have a most beautiful day.

I wish I had more wisdom when I was younger. Also, I too wish for a do over.
