Saturday Ramblings and Creative???

I woke up and put on a pot of coffee and since Boo is the coffee maker extraordinaire, I think I put way too much coffee in. I am totally wide awake which makes for a very interesting day but a busy one.

Ramblings....

Tell me how can 4 inmates escape from a bus and be on the run for hours? This is in my neighborhood, ya'll. The police aren't talking but hey, if they were supposed to be handcuffed and shackled, I think something is pretty fishy. Two of them were caught wearing just their boxers. Another was barricaded in a house. Thankfully, there was no one home at the time.

My future husband (I just love the sound of that word...husband) is slowing starting to let his hair down. I was walking out of Walmart singing, "Sometimes I feel like a nut, sometimes I don't..." when all of a sudden he quietly finished the song with me.

I so wanted to draw a smiley face on a car window that needed washing. Boo stopped me before I could leave my artwork. He said, "Defacing property will get you in serious trouble!" Spoken like a true law enforcement dude.

I watched Rescue Ink last night and about cried when I saw how someone had chopped off a pit bull's ears so that he could be used for fighting. I cried tears of happiness when the guys decided to adopt him as their mascot.

I planted peanuts yesterday that I got from North Carolina. I swear those peanuts are on steroids.

Eight more days until "the wedding". I need something old (I guess that's me), something blue (no I don't want your blue shoes Married Boo), something borrowed....(hmmms..wonder if I should ask the ex if I can borrow his 'Vette, after all, I did help pay for it), something new....I guess that will just have to be my dress if I can find one today.

I'm going to get busy creating. I've got a list of things to do in my head so when I'm done, I'll post my Creative Saturday.

What do you have on your Creative Saturday list of things to do?

Hi CCD, Thanks for stopping by, commenting and then following along. Were it not for that, I would never have found you!

You're one laugh riot, kid! I liked the comment about the 'Vette being your something new because you'd helped pay for it and in your post below this one:
"The most commonly used phrases while I was in North Carolina were: "Somebody shoot me now!" "This ain't no Disneyland ride" and "Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore." By the way, folks in North Carolina do not say, "totally cool" so when they hear it, it puts them in a state of shock."

Hilarious!!

Blessings to you over the next 8 days. Remember, breath in deeply through the nose, exhale slowly through the mouth. ;)

We are going to try to catch one runaway calf and vaccinate the pen on weaned calves. We have a bear that keeps scaring our calves and running them through the weaning pen. Never a dull moment! I think I'd love to experience one. I am soooo excited about your wedding!

Have a super weekend!!!

I have never planted peanuts. I was wondering, do you plant the whole peanut shell and all? Or can I use the dry roasted?

I was just browsing around, as I usually do when I have nothing better to do, and found your site! It really made me laugh! Of course you should borrow the car, and I would have thought that it would make sense to take the nut out of the shell before you planted it! Of course I may be just delirious and imagining all of this... but stopped by to say Hi anyway! Congratulations on your Wedding, by the way! The next eight days will just fly over!

Why do I suddenly have this image of you, in wedding veil and NO DRESS, waving like a prom queen, seated on the back of a corvette?
I declare, you need to get on the ball and get that dress, sugar!

Funny as always! Thanks for the laughter.

Not to creative, but I cleaned out my drawers (my dresser drawers, that is), my file cabinet, and under my bed. I won't say how long it took, but I'm done now and off for an ice cream cone!

I also cut it close regarding a dress. I'm sure when you find "the one" you'll know.

My creative Saturday involved meal planning. I decided to make a brisket for Sunday so I set forth to the supermarket. On the way I took a detour to the new Target store (the second Target in Anchorage). I had never been in a Target before. Very lovely store and I left a few dollars behind.... Now you may sing along with me....

"A Whole New World".......

Ohhhh.
I didn't realize "the" wedding is so close. No wonder you're wide awake - I think coffee has nothing to do with it; it's the wild endorphins flowing through your veins. I can feel your happy vibes coming through my screen.
Love it!!

BTW, the most creative thing I did today was get dressed.

Haha! Totally can relate to the coffee thing. Hubs usually makes it for us, so when I do we are both usually wired for the morning! Enjoy your week. It's a countdown...
