Creative Saturday

I SO wish I could show you what I created but unfortunately, my Secret Santa may read my blog and I don't want her to guess that it's me. But, I did make something that I think she's going to like. I also plan to make something for my Boos. Very simple stuff but yet, I know that they will appreciate it.

I'm always on the lookout for something unique and different as far as ornaments and Christmas things to make. A few years ago, I used to plan a huge Christmas craft party for my daughter and their friends, sleep over style, making ornaments and then, gingerbread houses. There were games to play, shaving cream fights and lots of Christmas carols to sing. This was an every year thing and believe me, it was fun! After the divorce, the tradition continued but with the girls and I making the ornaments, together. Last year, TV Boo and Boyfriend Boo both participated and wow, it was so much fun to see what they came up with.

Here are pictures of some of the creations from years gone by.

Were you creative today?

YOU are very creative! Me-- Nope, not creative for one second today. I'm too tired for cooking and eating and cleaning up :-)

Hope your Thanksgiving was terrific and all is well. I haven't been reading blogs for 3 days so I'm just now getting caught up.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Cute stuff! I love handmade things. I didn't actually create anything today but I did decorate the house for Christmas. :o)

Really cute projects and fun for all. I didn't do much in creative Saturday! Zapped by the weather and post Thanksgiving Turkey hangover! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Looks to me like you are resourceful and creative! That's a winning combo.

Alas, today I was not creative. I watched a bunch of Dexter episodes...about a serial killer who kills only the people who deserve it...the bad guys. It's his code of ethics. Dark and twisted.

I love your creative things! I used to do a lot of that, but now I think I work too much. I'm going to a wreath making party this week though, so will have a chance to be creative again.

Adorable ornaments!! I was not creative but if eating leftovers, reading, and doing a jigsaw puzzle counts.....

Simone, I wish you were my mama!!! Talk about a fun thing to do with your girls...so many fabulous memories made and shared!!!

I spent yesterday just enjoying my "me" day so I wasn't really very creative at all. I did write in my journal at the end of the day so in that regard I was creative...oh and I took some photos of the sun as it was sinking into the west on the drive to visit my son...so yes, I WAS creative!! (though I can't take credit for the sun..that belongs to someone else!!)

I love the snowmen! What are those at the bottom --the last pic?

We had an artsy Sunday afternoon yesterday. The kids made Christmas cards and fingerpainted and J made a "famous drawing."

Have a great week ahead!

Love the smores snowmen!
You are hands down the most creative person I know. My creativity flew completely out the window, as I have not been feeling well and slept the whole day away. Maybe next week...
