Cough, Cough, Creative Saturday

Yep, I caught something. I seriously doubt it's anything serious but with my asthma, it usually takes a bit to shake it. So, today, I stayed in my pjs and kicked it hard. It's the first time I've done this in a long time and it actually was much needed. Because laying on the couch watching tv isn't very creative, I thought I'd tell you about a great site that has really sparked some enthusiasm for me to achieve my goals for this year.

The goals that I have aren't the typical goals. Some of them are just reminders to get into the habit of things that I don't often do. Here's a peek....

1) Wash my face every night before going to bed.

2) Practice the piano every day.

3) Read 2 books a month.

4) Draw or paint three times a week.

5) Work on re-writes for children's book.

6) Make a new recipe once a week.

7) Volunteer.

8) Drink 4 cups or more, water each day.

To make the goals even more fun, my twin has also set simple goals too. We are tracking each other's goals on:

www.joesgoals.com It has a spot for happy faces for when you accomplish a goal. It tracks your goals every day of every month for you.

I feel great to have already accomplished a few of my goals for the month. One of them being reading two books a month. I've already read 3 this month! I intend to start a used book swap blog for those of you who may want to swap books back and forth. Let me know whether you may be interested in participating.

Did you have a creative Saturday?

Oh you poor thing. It's that time of year when it seems we all either have something, are just getting over something, or are just coming down with something. Hope yours is very short-lived.
You are the most ambitious person I know. I do good to just keep up with writing one post a week, reading the blogs on my list, keeping my house half clean and laundry up-to-date. You are an amazing woman, Simone.

What a cool idea. It definitely makes you more accountable.

Sorry you're not feeling well.

Simone, I'm literally feeling your pain. After 9 days the asthma still keeps the cough hanging on....

I hopped over to Joe's and I love the idea of that site! I think I may put it to some personal use myself.

Feel better, but until you do, don't be moving about a lot because it'll knock you out from exhaustion.

I'm so sorry that you're sick! Bummer.

It wasn't a very creative Saturday, but it was definitely busy. Running all around town taking care of business.

Congratulations on reading three (!) books this month! What books were they?

Get well soon, Simone!

What?! You don't wash your face every night?!!

I guess you can't get away with not doing that over here. The hot weather makes your face very oily and pimply!

Hey CCD, Hope you are feeling better. Glad you took the day off and just took care of yourself.

Your goals are all very smart and perfect for you. And that website with the smile faces-- How cool is that!

Keep feeling good!

I actually took a break from my goals and enjoyed someone's else's creative endeavor. I saw the movie "Crazy Heart" with Jeff Bridges. It was fantastic!

Awwwww, take care of yourself. It's good you and your twin have a way to keep each other accountable. We all need someone like that.

Snuggle in with a warm fuzzy blankie, a steaming hot drink and a good move. Feel better friend!

God bless

I'm just getting over a minor sinus infection. Even though it didn't get me totally down, it was SO annoying.
Take care...get rest...feel better!

Hmmm...not too creative this weekend. We have 12 inches of snow here in central Virginia and I spent this morning shoveling the driveway.

Did not have a creative Saturday but I got caught on on house chores, etc. Took Halle the standard poodle to a Victorian Ice Skating event at a nearby park. It was a benefit for the food Bank of Alaska. There was a horse drawn carriage, lots of skaters in Victorian costume. I got some pictures for Toby Tuesday! There was even a model posing for a small group of photogs and handlers. They would not let me photograph her though. xoxo

I hope you're feeling better by now (Monday). Your goals sound good to me and similar to my own. It's just soooo easy to be distracted by other stuff.
