Hi!

I’m Simone. When I first started blogging, I decided that I was going to write with these things in mind:

1) Be open and honest.
2) Always be myself.
3) Never apologize for being passionate about things close to my heart.

I think I’ve done a pretty good job of standing behind those attributes.

Who am I? That question takes a lot of thought. I am so much more than the words shown on a blog page. But the condensed version is that I’m a child of God. I’m silly and whimsical, creative, ornery, loving and passionate. I am the go to woman for a laugh or a word of encouragement and a hug. I’m a lover of chocolate, writing, speaking in women's ministry and reaching out to others, reading books, painting and drawing, and playing in the dirt. Thankfully, I live in the beautiful Northwest where beauty overflows and there is plenty of mud!

My life has taken on new perspectives after my heart stopped and I died for 8 seconds. Although 8 seconds may not seem like a lot of time, please read my writing on 8 seconds and you’ll be surprised at all that can be done. As a result, I treat each day as a precious gift.
