Things I've Learned Thursday

Being unemployed, I'm a learning machine! Well, if I can retain all that I've learned then I'd be a genius.

Things I've Learned....

1) The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Living in the moment creates more of a sense of contentment than looking far ahead.

2) When wine tasting, always swirl the wine around and sniff and then swirl again. It makes it seem like you know what you're doing when you really don't.

3) I've been mispronouncing the word "salmonella" all these years. Thanks to Married Boo for setting me straight. (It isn't samo but salmo).

4) Carrots and peanut butter is yummy. (Thanks Tami and Caleb for bringing that to my attention.)

5) If I have a chance to come back as an animal, I choose the pig. They love playing in mud, don't care if they're fat and know how to kick it hard with a smile on their face.

6) Pit bulls have been given a bad rap. My pit, Humble is the most wimpiest, loving, cuddle bug. He would lick a burglar and give him complete access to the house. My shih tzus are the ones the burglars have to worry about!

7) I love it when my Boo calls me by my nickname. It makes me smile.

8) I speak Spanish pretty well but always laugh when I attempt to say the last name, "Herrerra". I can't roll my r's well at all.

9) When the part on the toilet the breaks is called a ball cock, be very careful with describing the part needed at the hardware store within earshot of anyone else.

10) The blue dye found in M&Ms and gatorade is known to speed up healing in spinal cord injuries.

What have you learned?

I've learnt today that I can't remember what I used to do for fun before blogging and facebook.

That facial masks work better if you keep it on for a couple of hrs.

That forgives cleanses the spirit!

For the longest time I mispronounced the word "cache" so when the whole weapons of mass destructions thing came up (or made up) I kept hearing the word but not knowing what they meant.

I'm more afraid of Chihuahuas than Pitts...them Chihuahuas are scary little fierce things! My dad had one that nearly tore my finger open just 'cause I reached for my dad's jacket!

As for the pig thing...you might want to rethink that...pigs get eaten!LOL

I'm so naughty...can't wait to go to the local hardware place and ask for one...the biggest one they have!LOL!!

I have learned much through being unemployed as well. I've learned to let go of pride.

I learned that you are one of the coolest chicks out here in bloggy land! Love these Thursday posts by you!

I totally agree about the wine swishing thing and the little scary dogs. Just the word "hard" ware is enough said! ;-) I guess a man must've made up all the words for tools and appliances.

My grass isn't greener here - it's dying but I'm hoping for some beach front property soon. Hey a girl can dream, can't she?

I love your blog today! So creative and unique. I didn't know about the blue dye in M&M's or Gatorade. I know I can deal with eating M&M's but I can imagine the look of horror on some peoples face when I tell them it's for spinal cord injuries???

I'm all about #1 today, pally. We spend waayyyy too much time looking ahead, worrying about what might be. I've been really working on that "live a bit for today" too lately. I was too stressed out the other way. That's typically my Friday message on the blog--breathe deep and slow down. :)

OMG, this one really cracked me up. Ball cock? heeheeheeeeeeeeeeee! SAMON-ella? You doofus!

Do you want to be a boy pig or a girl pig? Because boy pigs have the cutest little squiggly peckers! Have you ever seen one? Really thin, long, and like their tail!

I love a grilled PB & bacon sandwich (white bread).

Your list is sweet. I bet your pit is adorable.

#5 - If you have received the same chain email that I'd received, then you'd know there's one more super reason why many would want to come back as a pig in their next life. ;p
