Are you a lister?

I'm a list maker. Otherwise known as a lister. I make random lists. Some on paper. Some in journals and some, inside of my head. My bucket list, for instance is inside my head. Why? That way I can add to it or even subtract from it and not feel a bit of shame. I have repeated my bucket list enough to those close to me so they already know it by heart, that is...unless I add something to the list.

The other day, I added petting a baby panda bear. Yes, I know it's not safe. But, it's a bucket list that is in my head so I can keep it there until I change my mind (if I do).

Years ago, when my daughter J liked to go grocery shopping with me, she liked to collect grocery lists that she found. When I found a few, I would save them for her. I asked her why she said that she thought it was intriguing to see other people's lists and their handwriting. She could use her imagination to guess what the occasion was, how old they were and maybe what recipes or menus they were creating! I love her way of thinking!

I have a book called The Book of Lists. This year, I've decided to embark on an adventure of list making. In the book, it lists (no pun intended) topics of lists. So, sitting with a warm and cozy blanket, the list making begins. Lists like: favorite movies, favorite pizza toppings, favorite books, etc. Even some lists like "people you know who's name begins with a W.

Are you a lister? If so, what do you like to list?

I love this! And I love J's collecting of grocery lists and thinking about what kind of person wrote it.
I'm a list maker, but it usually job lists. I've actually just made a bi-weekly list with chores to do from M-S, just because I need some structure in retirement.
Now that I've read this, I'm going to write a list of fun things for Bob and I to do together. Thanks friend!
I can't wait to hear what you come up with! I have a planner that I love. It gives me writing prompts but also to do lists. I usually take Monday and list all the things that I need to do. Then, like you, throughout the week, I check off those things that I've accomplished. It sure feels good!

Interesting - maybe you can write another book about lists.
I never thought about collecting other people's list.
I write a to do list almost every day of my life! I am a list maker girl.
Guess what? We got three inches of snow this morning - so exciting - first time in ten years!

I used to be a list-maker, but a couple of years ago when I started ignoring the list (and forgot to do several important things) I started putting each thing to do on a piece of paper and stacking them by date in an office inbox. Very cumbersome, but it works for me.
I definitely make grocery lists. I also have my list of people we buy Christmas presents for. I probably make some lists of things I need to do in the house.

I’m definitely a lister too! I love jotting things down, especially my bucket list—keeping it in my head makes it easier to change when I want. Your Book of Lists sounds so fun! I might have to start one myself. Great idea!

I have two daughters and one of them makes a list for everything...Christmas is Huge for her, as she even does a spreadsheet. The other daughter most likely has never made a list...not even a grocery list. LOL. I do sometimes, but nothing like my oldest daughter. I think petting a Panda would be so neat...even holding one. Have a wonderful Weekend..
