I won! I really won!

I can't believe it…I won the big Valentine's day package from a jazz radio station here in my area. I got the phone call and thought to myself, "What happens if I've won a cruise? Should I scream? Fake cry? Or just say over and over agin, 'thank you, thank you, thank you so much'? Well, unfortunately, it wasn't a cruise for two but I did win tickets for two to a Marilyn McCoo/Billy Davis concert, a flower arrangement AND a spa package…Spa Under the Stars. It's 50 minutes worth of a massage or facial and then, sitting in fluffy, warm robes, eating h'ordeurvs (can never spell the stupid word) and listening to live music. Sounds heavenly? Well, it would if Boo was going but his work schedule and mine collide. There's no changing the fact that I'm a weekend widow and at home at night when he's working. What a tease!! So, I gave the concert tickets away to a couple that is hard up financially. I know they will enjoy going to the concert. I'm 'this' close to giving away the spa package but Teen Boo keeps screaming, "Nooooo, you have to gooooo!!" I guess she sees the tense side of me and is wanting a relaxed mommy to come home to. If anyone wants to come to Palm Desert, we can have a girls' night out at the spa. Sounds like fun, right?

In the meantime, before joining the Lonely Hearts Valentine's day club, I'm going to find some mischeif to get into on that night. Don't worry…no streaking or nudity will be involved!

You do need to use the spa package yourself. Take the time to just indulge in some pampering! I love your blog...but then how can I not love something covered in chocolate lol.

Valentines is overrated! LOL.says the single girl. Winning is great though, & you should enjoy your spa package, get a chocolate wrap or something fancy & unusual, on which you wouldn't usually spend your own money on ;)

My Bucket List

My twin sis and I have bucket lists. The funny thing is that they aren't literally on paper. They are in our heads. For instance, my Nay Nay called me and said, "You won 't believe what I did!  I got big girl shoes…for my bucket list." "Really? Big girl shoes?" I asked. I knew exactly what she meant. When we were born, and back in the day when braces could or should be recommended for feet that in-toed, we weren't given that joy. As a result, walking in high heels can often be a challenge. My Nay Nay decided that she was going to cross off one thing on that bucket list and found a deal of 10 pairs of heels. (Not one but 10. She went for the gusto.) Each day, she practiced walking in her big girl shoes until the moment finally came and she ROCKED those heels! Together we have decided that we WILL cross off stuff on our growing bucket lists. Some of those things are on both of our lists while others are our very own "personal" bucket lists...
