Much Obliged!!
First, before I begin my blog post, I'd like to send out a special thanks to Christine
for giving me an award that I an honored to receive. It is called the Noblesse Oblige award. This award is given because:
1) The Blogger manifests exemplary attitude, respecting the nuances that pervades amongst different cultures and beliefs.
2) The Blog contents inspire; strives to encourage and offers solutions.
3) There is a clear purpose at the Blog; one that fosters a better understanding on Social, Political, Economic, the Arts, Culture and Sciences and Beliefs.
4) The Blog is refreshing and creative.
5) The Blogger promotes friendship and positive thinking.
Lord knows I try to measure up to some of those standards in my blog posts but at times, I can honestly say that I'm "not worthy". It's mainly just ramblings from my soul or screaming outloud for others to hear. Other times, it's my deep thoughts that are purged. So for all 52 of you who put up with me, thank you.
The Blogger who receives this award will need to perform the following steps:
1) Create a Post with a mention and link to the person who presented the Noblesse Oblige Award.
2) The Award Conditions must be displayed at the Post.
3) Write a short article about what the Blog has thus far achieved – preferably citing one or more older post to support.
4) The Blogger must present the Noblesse Oblige Award in concurrence with the Award conditions.
5) Blogger must display the Award at any location at the Blog.
So I'll shut up now and pass on the awards to the following so deserving bloggers...
1) Manic Mom - I'm inspired by her strength to keep on going while dealing with Lupus. She never ceases to amaze me with the joy she has in spending time with her family. I've learned much about not quitting, from her.
2) Vintage Velveteen - If I would've had another daughter, Nana would definitely be it. She's adorable and such a wise thinker. She processes life outloud and from those thoughts, I gain wisdom from her. She's sweet and talented and most of all, honest.
3) Mariah - she amazes me. Not only because she gave her grandmother such a happy ending story but because she is real about who she is. She keeps on going in spite of the challenges she may face. I love her head on parenting style!
4) Sandi - I have never met someone as charming, funny and real as Sandi is. She doesn't mind letting it all hang out (well, not all but you know what I mean) when it comes to loving Brandon and raising the kiddos. She inspires me with her tenacity and comical honesty. (I'm still trying to get over the thong analogy). One thing I've learned that in blogland, you can be whatever you want to be but Sandi is EVERYTHING that she portrays on her blog.
5) Denene - When I found her blog, I found a goldmine of insight for being a Black mom and raising Black children. I found a kinship in writing and a zest for touching topics that are well resourceful and thought provoking. Her spirit shines through on her blog and in her writing. (Check out her book, "Think Like a Man, Act Like a Woman - co-authored with Steve Harvey).
Congratulations to all of you!!
