It's been one of those days!

I should've known it was going to be one of those days when I walked outside barefooted in 117 degree heat and came back inside with second degree burns.

I should've known it was going to be one of those days when I plugged in the hand mixer instead of the iron.

I should've known it was going to be one of those days when the dog, Humble spit all over my leg. Gross but at least it wasn't pee.

I should've known it was going to be one of those days when I attempted to pull up a pair of capris and either they shrunk or my butt grew overnight.

I should've known it was going to be one of those days when I ran into a spider web and freaked out for 20 minutes that some huge spider was crawling around in my hair.

I should've known it was going to be one of those days when I put makeup on and forgot to cover up my halfbrow. I can't believe I walked out the door like that!

I should've known it was going to be one of those days when my dog, Sam farted and permeated the room with the smell of dead trash and year old chili beans.

there must be something awful that is in the air we're breathing today, as I've read so many blogs about people having a really bad day. This isn't supposed to be the case on Friday. It's FRIDAY people - things are bound to get better! I promise!!

I am laughing so hard I'm crying which is making it difficult to write the comment.

I can so relate to most of those situations. It's not funny when it happens but when you look back on them and share them - it's funny.

I have done the spider web dance and I am just sure my clothes are shrinking in my closet because I am surly not putting any on weight :)

Thank you for starting such a busy day for me off with such a great laugh.

WHAT were you doing living MY day?? Or should I say "MY LIFE"? It's ALWAYS one of those days where I come from.

As in: I knew it was going to be a bad day when I took my beautiful walking stick with me......and tripped over the darn thing.

My Bucket List

My twin sis and I have bucket lists. The funny thing is that they aren't literally on paper. They are in our heads. For instance, my Nay Nay called me and said, "You won 't believe what I did!  I got big girl shoes…for my bucket list." "Really? Big girl shoes?" I asked. I knew exactly what she meant. When we were born, and back in the day when braces could or should be recommended for feet that in-toed, we weren't given that joy. As a result, walking in high heels can often be a challenge. My Nay Nay decided that she was going to cross off one thing on that bucket list and found a deal of 10 pairs of heels. (Not one but 10. She went for the gusto.) Each day, she practiced walking in her big girl shoes until the moment finally came and she ROCKED those heels! Together we have decided that we WILL cross off stuff on our growing bucket lists.
