21 Days to Loving Your Man

UPDATE - GIVEAWAY - The Husband Project

One of my blog readers will be chosen to receive a free book, The Husband Project. Kathi Lipp has so generously offered to do this. To be entered, all you have to do is comment here on this post. That simple...comment and you're entered! The giveaway will be Tuesday, August 25th.
*************************************************************************

I have no idea where I found out about Kathi Lipp's book, the Husband Project but when I did, I was thrilled to order it and then grab two friends to sign up to hold me accountable. Although I'm not quite married (yet), the desire to love my man still exists...so I jumped head first into the projects.

The projects are very easy to do and of course, you can be very creative as well. The great thing is that you are supposed to share with your accountability partners, your project buds, what you did and how he responded. Sometimes, it means breaking down and really giving intimate details. Not to spoil it for anyone that plans to get the book but one of the projects involves food...mainly, tantalizing your man by showering him with something he loves to eat and makes him feel special that I went out of my way. I thought I had it down until one of my project buddies nailed it.

She's nothing close to a sex kitten. In fact, intimacy may not always be number one on her mind like it is on her man's. So, she stepped out of the comfort zone and won the prize, hand's down.

To keep the confidentiality, I'll just call her Yummy. Well, Yummy knows that her man has a thing for sex anytime of the day. So, she got cute little undies with lace and gray polka dots. High heel shoes and for the bra....a sundae. Melted chocolate was drizzled until it hardened on her gals. Then, she squirted whipped cream, slivered almonds and a cherry on each nipple. When Yummy's man walked in, she had one leg (adorned with high heels) propped up on the bed, her reading glasses on and she was eating a banana. His first comment was, (according to her) "Does my wife know you're here??" Needless to say, it was the most talked about dessert ever!

I'm proud that Yummy went out of her comfort zone to please her man.

What ways do you go out of your comfort zone to please your man?

PS--you can find the book, The Husband Project on Kathi Lipp's website. It's definitely a fun and rewarding book.

Oh Lord, that would be SO FAR out of my comfort zone, I wouldn't know how to get there or back!
And my excuse is...my Fred is diabetic and not supposed to eat sweets. Whew! I dodged that bullet!
Stepping out of MY comfort zone would be coming out from under the sheets and leaving the light on. UGH.

I am so getting this book because I am always looking for ways to spice up life with Mr. Peach Tart.

Yummy sounds like a hoot and I am so going to try that trick. A little nervous about the melted chocolate on the girls though.

Well it definitely leaves some options open there. I don't think we all have to go to that extreme with our loved ones, especially those that have kids, we only have so much time, we lack that spontaneous moment to pull something like that off and get away with it.

What we can do is make plans without our loved ones knowledge and begin to create a moment in time that shows them, we truly care about them in a intimate way.

Hey there ladies -

This is Kathi - the author of The Husband Project. I LOVE this blog and Simone is my new BBFF (Best Bloggy Friend Forever.)

Just wanted to mention that the projects are as elaborate and "comfort zone stretching" as you want them to be - or as low stress as you want them to be. Many are things like "Leave him a post-it note" and do not require any whipped cream whatsoever :)

Wow how cool to hear from the author!

No way I could ever put chocolate on the girls-- I'd eat it myself before I melted it :-)

I've heard of the book "The Love Dare" but that has a totally different focus. I'll have to look into this bok... Or maybe I'll win it! THANSK for the giveaway!

Kathy Lipp came to talk to our MOPS group one day about her book (of course that was the ONE day I missed a meeting) but all the ladies were ranting and raving about how great the book was.

The most I've come out of my comfort zone for my hubby was e-mailing him pics of my boobs while he was on a business trip. But that's as far as I'll go!!!
