What Do Five Words Say About You?
Five Words Can Help You Know Someone
I received five words from Joanna at The Fifty Factor as a part of a meme that you can do too. Joanna received 5 words to blog about from another blogger. Then, she did a post on the 5 words that she was given. If you'd like for me to give you five words, let me know. Here are my five words:
Commitment
I'm a firm believer in staying committed to the people that God has placed in my life, to love them, laugh with them, cry with them, hold them, kiss them, support them and encourage them. Commitment for me is like a promise and it's very rare that I break a promise. As I prepare to commit my life as Boo's wife in October, it is one commitment that will last. I know what it feels like to have a marriage commitment broken as a result of infidelity. Although the pain that it caused in my life has healed, there is a scar.
Fellowship
I believe that we weren't meant to live life alone. There is no way I could live on a deserted island by myself because I need, no crave, fellowship with others. From my family and friends, I am able to be who I am with no apologies or excuses. But, I also need time alone to pray, hear the silence and nature around me so in that way, I also need fellowship alone.
Love
I love, LOVE!! I really do because I do believe that the greatest thing is to love and be loved. Boo has shown me love in a different perspective than I had in my previous marriage...one that's solid, stable and never-ending. We don't always speak the same love languages but he does his very best trying. Love to me is overlooking faults and failures and seeing that person on the inside. Love is an adjective that exists even when a loved one passes away. It never dies.
Strength
I didn't realize that I was a woman of strength until I read through some of the journals that I have written in. The many times that I cried out and wanted to give up...the times that I told myself, "I can't do this anymore" were the true examples that I had the strength to keep on going. I realized that when I am weak, He is strong.
Music
Music is my life! It's not a cliche' for me. It defines who I am, how I'm feeling. At times, I can sit at the piano and play for hours. It overtakes me and I'm captured by the tones of the keys. I love to sing, even when I'm feeling down. I sing to my dogs, to Baby Boo. I leave voice mail messages to my daughters, singing. I know that music is a part of my spirit and it sustains me.
