Got my bags packed and ready to fly
Well, sorta. I'm starting to feel a mixture of excitement mixed with fear. I booked my flight and even chose my seat arrangements beforehand. Being that I use logic most of the time, I chose a seat closest to the wing because: In case the plane does crash into a large body of water, then, I'd have a much better chance of floating on the wing until help arrives. Well, Boo dashed that one when he informed me that the fuselage is on the wings. Meaning...the first thing that comes to my mind first off is a bbq. Okay....that does nothing for my slight fear of flying but I am going to make the most of it.
Here's what I'm going to do to entertain myself:
A) Count how many people appear nervous and could possibly be threats to air safety. I plan to write in my little tablet the things they eat and do the whole trip. Someone is going to thank me, maybe.
B) Sing along with my ipod and then see I can get people sitting next to me, to join in. (Karaoke is a good stress reliever.)
C) Collect the peanut wrappers. I'm going to save these for Married Boo. Maybe she'll thank me for recycling.
D) Take a picture in the bathroom. I'm so curious about how the toilets flush.
E) Have an airline scavenger hunt. My twin is flying on another airline around the same time so we'll both have to swap lists. The winner gets...I don't know...but the winner gets something....here's the list...
1. an unused coffee stirrer
2. a recipe from one of the passengers on the plane
3. a stick of gum from someone on the plane
4. a telephone number from someone on the plane
5. an autograph from someone on the plane
6. airplane wings to put on your shirt
7. a picture of the clouds on takeoff
8. a written description of the person sitting directly in front of you
6) I'm going to do sudoku puzzles and word searches.
7) Sleep and snack, then, sleep and snack some more.
In the meantime, my daughters will be in charge of my blog while I'm gone. Married Boo will be taking care of Things I've Learned Thursday and TV Boo will follow in her mommy's footsteps imparting humor, wisdom and whatever runs through her head.
I will talk to you all when I get back. Whenever you see a plane in the air, wave, it may be me and I promise I'll wave back!

You list cracked me up! I could actually picture you doing those things... Heh.
That was so soothing it even calmed me down. Enjoy your flight and your trip. xoxo
XOXO
I too am a nervous flyer. But I find once we are in the air, I loosen up a bit. Just close your eyes and pray. :o)

The airline scavenger hunt is a fabulous idea. I'm going to do that next time I travel with Godson. That'll keep him distracted and entertained!
Looking forward to your "guest" bloggers and hearing all about your trip.
Safe travels. I'm sending all my angels your way.
xo
Have fun!!!
