The winner for the Wii Fit Plus giveaway will be announced tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 15th, so keep an eye out!
In the meantime, Baby Boo and Boo and I went to see the Princess and the Frog movie. I was so excited that finally, there was an African American princess for Baby Boo to look at and emulate!
We loved the movie but being that she is almost three, there were some parts that she said were scary. She actually jumped a few times as well.
We couldn't explain much about voodoo or spirits from beyond because that's just not something I'd want to dig into with her. That's one part that I wish had been left out.
But, she did get the basic message....someday, your prince will come. She told me how beautiful Princess Tiana is. Even as we walked out of the theater, she was smiling and saying, "I saw Princess and the Frog".
Here's the little princess!!

She looks just adorable - a princess!
She's a sweetheart! I'm glad you got to see the breakthrough movie together. Isn't is wonderful makin' memories?
Have a restful evening filled with sweet dreams!!!
Sounds like such a fun time! You've given courage...my granddaughter is almost three...I may just pull on my big girl panties and take her go see it!
Baby Boo is super adorable!!
I've yet to take the kiddos to a real movie in a cinema. :)
We saw this much anticipated movie yesterday. I thought it good, but not my favorite Disney movie. We were LOOOONG overdue for a black princess, though!
I didn't like the voodoo aspect, either, but, you know, all Disney movies have that evil character, and voodoo fit the New Orleans theme of this one. But I loved the whole "dream come true" theme, and the story of sacrifice and struggle and hard work; pretty much a Cinderella story, just a vastly different approach.
Now, will Baby Boo get the Princess Tiana doll and nightgown and backpack and tea set and kissing frogs set and...?
She is absolutely adorable!!!! I can't wait to see that movie!
How cute that photo is! It's so nice that you get to spend such quality time with her. She must really love you!
What a darling little Princess!!! Made me smile today!
That princess is almost as beautiful as Baby Boo!
A friend of mine took her little ones to see this & LOVED it...now I wanna go. I may not have a little girl to take with me, but there is still a little girl IN me that loves her some Disney. ;)
Simone,
She truly is a lovely princess. I am so glad that Disney has created a movie for all little ones to feel like they too, can be princesses! The world is changing for the better in some aspects! I can only imagine what her wishes are for Christmas!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
She's absolutely precious!!!
That's the next movie for me to see. I love animated movies. I'm waaay older than 3 so I don't think I will be scared but who knows!
I imagine my girls and I will see it over the Christmas break. It'll be interesting to hear their feelings about it. Because they are older, it may not be as exciting as it would have been when they were really into the "Princesses."
Always love reading about Baby Boo! :)
