As much as I love the Christmas holiday, I hate, hate, hate shopping and especially a few days before Christmas. I decided to brave a couple of stores for a few last items - big mistake!
Folks are grouchy and rude and surely not relaxed and friendly. In fact, this one lady was so hot about her son getting into some sort of fight (probably before she got to the store) that she was in the check out line, cursing up a storm and being so loud. The cashier told her, "Shhh, there are kids here in line."
The lady looks over at the little girl and the cashier and says, "So what! I'm an adult!" She continued to curse and carry on to the lady that was with her. I left the store shaking my head. Pathetic!
The lines are long and there isn't anyone singing Christmas carols, only complaining about all that they have to do still. I tried to sing a few carols to myself but I felt like my blood pressure was rising as people cut in line and snapped at one another. I walked out of the store with nothing.
I came home and did what I thought was the greatest thing ever...I put on my pjs and turned on the Christmas music. It's definitely good for what ails me...too bad it's not good for what ails a few others.
