Who are the people in your bloggerhood?



When I was a kid, I loved Sesame Street and this was one of my favorite portions of the show. But it also got me thinking...(which I do often)...who are the people in my bloggerhood?

I feel like you all make up a good portion of my day, and yet, there are people in my bloggerhood that I don't really know.

This is your opportunity to tell me something, ANYTHING about you...where you are from or what makes you laugh or cry or dance....why you are a part of my bloggerhood.

Hey Simone, Deb here, let's see, I live on the east coast of Canada and reading blogs makes me laugh, can make me smile, make me sad or make me cry.

I missed you too girl! It's so good to be home but I hated trading that 78-80 degrees each day for the MINUS 31 windchill we have right now!

Hi!!! I'm Sharon!! I just moved to Virginia from Toronto Canada. A few months ago my husband and oldest son were here in Virginia, my youngest son and I were in Toronto, and my middle son was in the UK with his other mother. Now 4 of us are under the same roof finally, and that in itself makes me laugh cry dance and dream! I just got married Dec 19th, and I am plotting and planning for babies 4 and 5 :)

I don't remember how I found you...through Deidra maybe? Probably. Anyway, whatever brought me to your corner of the world it was a good thing; fated I think. I live in Toronto, Canada (3 of your first 4 from Canada..you have a love thingy going on with Canada Simone!). I'm a 2 boys 18 & 22, married forever, and I'm still a stay-at-home mom. I write, I do art, I spend time with my friends. I talk about life and how we can live it to the fullest in the most positive way - with intention and possibility. I'm short (!) and I'm a little older than you because Sesame Street started after I had started school...though I loved watching it with my kids!! xo

Okay, I'm Helene and I'm in Northern CA. I'm a 40-year old SAHM with 2 sets of twins. The older twins are 5 and the little twins are 2, going on 3 next month.

Before becoming a SAHM, I was a program director of a private foster family agency.

I'm constantly trying to figure out how to juggle 4 kids while trying to keep my sanity intact. That's why I blog...it's such a wonderful outlet!

I'm a dabbler by nature, not at all dissuaded because I lack experience or skill and I'm pretty much home bound. Those two things make me ripe for blogging, no?

I live in Nebraska with my pastor husband, in our empty nest. I work for an insurance company with people that I adore. For real.

I write because it's how I express myself best, and because I've always written. Blogs have connected me to people I would never have met. People like you who make me smile!

I loved that part about Sesame Street as well, I still know all the words.

Anyway, very fun post, Simone! I am a Jersey girl, born and raised, but have lived in Anchorage Alaska since 1982. I do travel quite a bit and usually go to NJ about 2 times each year. I work with my husband in his law practice as his administrative assistant and we have worked together for over 20 years. It works. I now work only part time, hooray!

I love baseball and the NY Yankees are my team. I also enjoy tennis and play doubles twice a week, not too well, but I can keep the ball in play! I also love to play board games, cook and do crossword puzzles. I have a blog and I enjoy blogging and my blog buddies, of which you are one, also some of the commenters...

I love my 4 dogs, all of which are rescues. I have a teaching degree too. xoxo

Hi, Simone! Austin, Texas girl here; however, born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm a reluctant midlifer who recently found blogging to provide the instant gratification that writing novels cannot. I'm not sure how we found each other, but seems like you have been with me from the start. You're like my neighbor with the warm, friendly house down the block. I was born in Nebraska but grew up in New York. I moved back here 19 years ago to be near my aging parents. They are gone and I am still here! I met my husband here 16 years ago and I guess I'll stay.

I love your blog and have been following it since I found your through Diedra. You are a treasure.

My Bucket List

My twin sis and I have bucket lists. The funny thing is that they aren't literally on paper. They are in our heads. For instance, my Nay Nay called me and said, "You won 't believe what I did!  I got big girl shoes…for my bucket list." "Really? Big girl shoes?" I asked. I knew exactly what she meant. When we were born, and back in the day when braces could or should be recommended for feet that in-toed, we weren't given that joy. As a result, walking in high heels can often be a challenge. My Nay Nay decided that she was going to cross off one thing on that bucket list and found a deal of 10 pairs of heels. (Not one but 10. She went for the gusto.) Each day, she practiced walking in her big girl shoes until the moment finally came and she ROCKED those heels! Together we have decided that we WILL cross off stuff on our growing bucket lists. Some of those things are on both of our lists while others are our very own "personal" bucket lists...
