Used Book Giveaway

I've done pretty good with sticking to my two books a month goal because actually, most of the time, I've read three and sometimes four books in one month, depending on the length of the book.

Here are the books that are up for giveaway:

Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore

I'd have to say that this is one of my favorite books to have read this year. I loved the emotions that existed as I read the book. A few times, I found tears filling my eyes. It is a true story which makes it even that more special. Here's what the back of the book cover says:

A dangerous, homeless drifter who grew up picking cotton in virtual slavery. An upscale art dealer accustomed to the world of Armani and Chanel. A gutsy woman with a stubborn dream. A story so incredible no novelist would dare dream it.

A friend of mine recommended that I read The Shack, by Wm. Paul Young.

She said, "You will definitely view God differently once you read The Shack." It was truly poetic and visual in many ways. Here's what the back cover reads:

Mackenzie Allen Philip's youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in the midst of his Great Sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend.

I read various books, non-fiction, fiction and a lot of my book interests come from all of you. This is one book that I held on to because I wanted to read it again. It spoke life and promise into my own life when I felt like I needed it the most.

It's titled: You're All That! by Paula White

The inside cover reads:

Paula White is here to tell you that YOU'RE ALL THAT! As a woman who has experienced tragedy and triumph, poverty and prosperity, Paula is uniquely qualified to share powerful insights with those who desire a better life and a stronger sense of self. Paula writes out of her own painful experiences and reveals the keys to healing, hope and identity. You were not created to be shackled by negative emotions or memories. You were created to live a bold, dynamic, creative life filled with love and joy!

I follow your blog through my google reader. I'd love to win "The Shack", as I've been hearing good things about it. A group of my girlfriends started a book club as a result of reading it. I wasn't able to join them, but I've been wanting to read the book ever since.

The first book you listed is on my list of possible books to read. If I won it, I'd read it!
The Shack was not a favorite of mine. I read it, but it didn't touch me as it has with so many. I'm glad that others are getting revelation from it.
And can you believe it? My husband gave me the Paula White book awhile ago. Because you mentioned it, I'm now curious and will dig it up.
