Lucky Baby - Book Review
I had the pleasure of being able to review the book, Lucky Baby by Meredith Efren. As an avid reader who tends to base books on how they emotionally move me, I can honestly say that from the first paragraph of the first chapter, I was intrigued.
While Meg lives a happy life with her husband, there's always this cloud looming over her head that she was and still is a disappointment to her mother. She just never could measure up. When she decides to adopt a child from China, she begins to see motherhood from a different perspective.
Mothering her baby girl doesn't come without its many challenges and heartbreaks but she grows from them.
Told from the perspective of two little girls, one who was adopted from China and the other who was left behind and of course, Meg's viewpoint, this book threads a magical tale of how love can conquer the greatest fears and disappointments.
I look forward to reading more books by the author Meredith Efken. For more information and to order a copy, please go to meredithefken.com or find it on amazon.com

God bless ya sweetie and have a terrific weekend!!! :o)
PS - the book I got from you - The Help, is still making the rounds. Everyone i have loaned it too has really liked it.
But how fabulous is that to get picked to review a book. That's fabulous! I'm kind of a little jealous...but jealous in a good way!
Thank you for your wonderful comment over at my blog. Yes, we will hold each other's hand on the merry path that is called menopause!
This sounds like a great read. So many families have been blessed by the love of adopting a child and in return receiving so much more in the process. I love how it's been told from the perspectives of the two girls. Sounds like an amazing and heartwarming read.

Have you read Little Bee by Chris Cleave? I just finished it and LOVED IT---and am hosting book club on it this week. Can't wait!
;-)
Just read Erin's comment and noticed that she read "Little Bee." I read it too, and really felt a connection to Little Bee. It's a sad book about a beautiful person. I'd also recommend it.
I left Erin a comment, too.
EnJoy the upcoming week and may you accomplish a few things on your plate. :)
