Update on Goose Cooking

Good news! There's a new addition to the hospital that should be arriving this week. His name is Josey. He is a Border Collie, trained to scare the goose away. Supposedly, he's going to save the hospital $40,000.00 in poop clean up fees. Sheesh! I'll clean up some poop for $40,000.

Anyway, we are not to feed Josey, pet Josey, coo or throw a ball to Josey because he is "an employee" and is on the time clock. (I wonder if he gets paid vacation too??? How about sick leave???)

Either, I guess I won't be cooking goose after all.

By the way, these are Canadian geese and are under protection (some sorta eye witness program) but they just don't have a clue why they've all decided to stay here and multiply.

I think that there must be some Viagra in the water or something.

I'm presuming he won't be running around knocking people over while chasing geese? But wouldn't that be good business for the hospital!

New to your blog but this one made me laugh and remind me of our camping days. Same problem. But geez, never guessed it would cost that to pick up goose poop. Good deal on the dog :)

My Bucket List

My twin sis and I have bucket lists. The funny thing is that they aren't literally on paper. They are in our heads. For instance, my Nay Nay called me and said, "You won 't believe what I did!  I got big girl shoes…for my bucket list." "Really? Big girl shoes?" I asked. I knew exactly what she meant. When we were born, and back in the day when braces could or should be recommended for feet that in-toed, we weren't given that joy. As a result, walking in high heels can often be a challenge. My Nay Nay decided that she was going to cross off one thing on that bucket list and found a deal of 10 pairs of heels. (Not one but 10. She went for the gusto.) Each day, she practiced walking in her big girl shoes until the moment finally came and she ROCKED those heels! Together we have decided that we WILL cross off stuff on our growing bucket lists. Some of those things are on both of our lists while others are our very own "personal" bucket lists...
