LifeWithKaishon asked, "What do you enjoy most about being a black woman?" This may sound totally ridiculous but I love the color of my skin. I love that in the summertime, I turn a darker shade of brown. I love that as a Black woman, beauty comes in all hues. I admit that there are times when I stand out in a crowd, if I'm the only black person around but I don't view it as a negative but a positive. I hope that what I emulate is a confident, friendly, well rounded lady who doesn't mind joining in. I'm proud of my heritage. I have Native American Indian on both sides of my family, German, Irish, and Jamaican, to name a few. I don't mind at all being a part of this huge melting pot. "What preconcieved ideas do you think many people have about black women?" I'm not really sure what preconceived ideas there are but I know what I am not: I'm not an angry Black woman. I don't have a problem with White women dating Black men (or vice vers...

I love keepsakes and sentimental things too.
Let's see, today, hmmmm...I tried a new dish at an Italian restaurant. And I'm out of town, but still blogging on my stepfather's new laptop-a slight adjustment from using my desktop at home.
When I get home, I may come back for another visit to play around with your video software. :)
You have such unique ideas and I love those dolls your sister made. So adorable and what a wonderful keepsake.
I haven't been very creative lately but I have done handmade gifts in the past before I had my daughter. I can remember giving a girlfriend a mason jar full of all the ingredients and recipe for cookies (I think), I remember purchasing a torn up 1950's linen tablecloth (for 10 cents) with the most gorgeous pattern on it, I cut it up and sewed it into dish towels. My mom still uses them.
Gee, maybe I should do a video too!
Loved watching you! Hope you do more for us!
This was a fun post that let us put not only a picture but a voice with your blog.
Here's wishing your adorable self a great day with many blessings!!!
I'll be back....for a longer visit.
I was creative Saturday--we painted and completely re-decorated my son's room. It turned out great and he's really happy. Amazing what a coat of paint does for a room.
btw... I love that family frame behind you!
I tried to be creative on Saturday. I was looking for yarn to knit a sweater for my sister for Christmas. I could not find what I needed, which was frustrating, but I will look some more this week.
I'm all about creating gifts and finding something special for someone that has a sentimental value. Too much is spent on How Much something costs vs. what does the gift mean. Gifts are meant to have a meaning, especially at Christmas. Love the hand
prints of your girls...I wish I had thought to do that when my boys were little.
I made beef stroganoff on Saturday using a new recipe. It was nice but it was different...I'm not sure I'd make it that way again, but it was my husband's request for his birthday dinner.
