Choking Down Tears
Blogging has become quite real to me. It's filled with real people with real lives who do "real" things. Yet, it's easy to sit in front of the computer screen and not necessarily feel the realness. It would be more easier to feel their pain, their anguish, their emotions, if they were sitting right across from me, right? Wrong.
I've been blogging for two years. I have many followers that have followed me from the beginning and I've gotten to know them, their kiddos and their hubbies or loved one. So, upon hearing that my friend, Hallie had lost her beautiful boy, CJ, I was shocked to tears.
Hallie is one of the most beautiful, giving women that I know. Her dad's life was saved as a result of organ donation so in return, she held a raffle and pledged money to organ donation as a result. This wasn't just any ol' raffle...there were things pouring in from all parts of the world to be raffled for a pretty cool cause.
Unfortunately, we can't always see ahead to the pain that lies ahead. The pain she is feeling as she has had to lay to rest her sweet boy, CJ will somehow subside, but it will never completely leave. Her and her husband, John and their son, Connor are paying tribute to CJ's life by walking in a suicide prevention walk called Out of the Darkness Overnight They have a team of walkers who will be walking in CJ's honor as well. They need sponsors to make this happen. If you find a stirring in your heart to donate, please click here. You will be taken to Hallie's site for more information.
Hold tightly to your loved ones. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow hasn't come, we are only living in the present by God's grace.

I cannot imagine the pain the family is feeling. My hope is that no other parent EVER has to go through this kind of agony.
Bless you for posting this.
God bless CJ, Hallie and their loved ones.
yeah getting to know other bloggers is real. i was just thinking the other day how easy it is "to read each others thoughts" nowadays with facebooks, blogs, and twitter...
My heart and prayers go out to the family.
God bless you and thanks for the heads up.
This seems to be the growing trend in our young people today that feel that this is their only option to deal with issues. However what they fail to recognize is how easy it is to do, it's living that is the difficult part. I only hope that more kids will reach out and ask for help and that even if we aren't their parents we can have eyes and ears open enough to hear their pleas for help.
Prayers are being sent for Hallie and her family during this most stressful time in their lives. Thanks for providing a link to help out.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
Hugs to them and to YOU~
Hugs, Katherine
