Things I've Learned Thursday...I mean...Friday

1) Horns honk in the key of F and toilets flush in the key of F flat.

2) I will not cut my hair by myself...no matter how tempting and how bad it is...I will wait until my daughter moves out here. My hair says, "thank you". (Hurry up January 31st.)

3) When I get nervous, my nose runs.

4) This is the year where I learn not to push aside my wants, feelings and emotions. This is the year of loving me!

5) I hate ice storms...especially when it comes to driving around in it.

6) Richard Simmons may be a nice guy but I'm just not attracted to him. (That's another post for another day on dating.)

7) I totally hate when I see someone litter. I cross a line between saying something or picking up the trash they tossed or both.

8) Maybe I'm dating myself but are the lyrics to songs getting worse? You're on my heart like a tattoo???? Are you serious??

9) I have a new appreciation for Fridays.

10) I don't understand the changing of astrological signs. Why can't we just leave well enough alone?

I've learned that I like ice cream cake much more than I like just having ice cream.

I've learned that blogging regularly puts me in a much better mood.

I'm a July Cancer woman and I'm NOT changing to a Gemini. Hmph!

I didn't know about the astrological signs either. Like getting rid of Pluto? I'm stuck on Motown and I being a northern transplant to a southern local, I really hate cold weather.

I can't blame you one bit about Richard Simmons...I just saw him on tv and he still has the curly hair but it's much thinner these days. Still wearing the too-tight, too-short shorts and the tank top that reveals a little too much underarm hair.

Ice storms - OMG! HATE THEM WITH A PASSION! We're expecting sleet and freezing rain in the morning, and naturally, I HAVE to get out tomorrow. Arrgghh!

Richard Simmons makes me laugh because he doesn't take himself too seriously. I like that in a person.

Messing with the zodiac is just wrong. Although I am a solid Leo now, which is what I thought all along. :)

My Bucket List

My twin sis and I have bucket lists. The funny thing is that they aren't literally on paper. They are in our heads. For instance, my Nay Nay called me and said, "You won 't believe what I did!  I got big girl shoes…for my bucket list." "Really? Big girl shoes?" I asked. I knew exactly what she meant. When we were born, and back in the day when braces could or should be recommended for feet that in-toed, we weren't given that joy. As a result, walking in high heels can often be a challenge. My Nay Nay decided that she was going to cross off one thing on that bucket list and found a deal of 10 pairs of heels. (Not one but 10. She went for the gusto.) Each day, she practiced walking in her big girl shoes until the moment finally came and she ROCKED those heels! Together we have decided that we WILL cross off stuff on our growing bucket lists. Some of those things are on both of our lists while others are our very own "personal" bucket lists...
