True Confessions

I don't know why I have the desire to confess mindless trivial things but I've learned to write spontaneously so here goes...

My true confessions...

1) I only work because I need the money. I don't have a passion for what I'm doing at all. I get anxiety on Sunday night at the thought of the start of another work week.

2) I almost cried today because I couldn't beat a level on Donkey Kong Country. (Yes, it's my stress reliever.)

3) I enjoy coming out with something hilarious, just because I love hearing my kids laugh.

4) I fear growing old. I know it's inevitable but I still don't like it.

5) I make up songs to sing to my dogs. I have a Go Potty song, a Sam song, a lullaby and more.

6) I'm so very slow to anger that I get mad at myself for not allowing myself to get angry.

7) I'm doubting I'll ever find true love again.

8) I can't sleep unless I'm holding on to my favorite pillow.

9) I totally hate when someone steals my ink pen off my desk so I put my name on it.

10) I am a germphobe so when someone sneezes or coughs in the area that I'm in, I usually hold my breath until I think the germs have dissipated.

Do you have anything you'd like to confess? Spill it here!!

My mother used to say that you can't find true love; it finds you when you least expect it. I found that to be true.

I embrace growing old, even with its inherent maladies. Part of the reason is I look forward to the afterlife, meeting Him and being reunited with loved ones. But another part of the reason is I'd hate to think I'd lived this life, experiencing the spectrum of events and emotions....and my body/mind/soul wouldn't reflect it. I wear age as a badge of honor.

I make up songs for everybody - including my dogs. Lots of parodies. We'd have such fun together, you and I.

I make up songs too! I used to do it a lot more when my kids were all home. I should start singing to the cat I guess. I hate when people take my pen too. (I've been known to hunt it down!)

When I was small, there used to be a funeral home on the way to our house and whenever we'd pass by, I would hold my breath until we're clear past the funeral home. I don't really understand why I used to do that.... but yes, I was weird. :)

I've been there too on your number 2 - except my game is March of the Mini Marios.
I've already reached #4 -it really isn't so bad.
I totally understand #9. My pen belongs in my domain only!
Great confessions.

I fear growing old, too. Just seeing how the elderly are often treated scares the beejeezus out of me.

I sing to my dog's too and make up stupid little songs. I don't have a potty song, though. Might have to come up with one if it will get them to hurry up.

Don't give up on true love. It's out there. It comes when you least expect it.

I too make up silly songs for my kitties!

When I was working, I always bought my favorite pens, Pilot Precise Fine point. Yes, they would get picked up. These are obviously not office issue and it was coworkers doing it so I did start taping my name on them.

I only worked for the $$ too and I didn't look for love after I ws divorced, but it found me. I think when you are least expecting it, good things will happen. Don't "settle".

My confession...I've not worked for the 2 years we've been in N.C. for my husband's work. I will be 61 in July and I feel guilty when someone asks "What do you do?" I feel like a slug. For the first time, since I was 16 yrs old, I'm not working and I feel guilty. sssshhhh...don't tell anyone..

I do the same thing with the holding of my breath!

I also LOVE to make my kids laugh, especially my son. It soothes my soul.

I raise my hand to admit to the Germaphob "thang" - I think that people who don't fret over germs are the ones with a problem...Finding love? I've been married forever but I know of people who have met their "forever love" on the internet - Match.com, etc. Just a thought.

I fear growing old too.

I used to be volatile but I think growing old has mellowed me a little. I get less angry these days unless someone steps on my tail!!

Happy Tuesday, sweet lady!

I don't fear growing old per se but what comes with it...dinished mobility, more aches, pains, maladies...possible Alzheimers (runs in my family) or dementia...ugh...just writing this gave me anxiety.

I fear that I will never feel "settled" anywhere I live.

I not only sing and talk to my cats but I also scold and baby talk at them...I never thought I'd be a cat person and here I am about 8 cats shy of crazy cat lady status!

I enjoy learning more about you. I think the songs for your dogs are cute. I talk to mine all the time, lol.

Your true love is out there, don't give up...he's worth the wait. :-)

Blessings,
Jill

Don't fear aging. It is a fact of life so embrace it and enjoy the journey.

True love. I don't think it exists. Friends are far more loyal.

I too am a germophobe and I also despise when people smack their lips, clean their teeth in public. I know someone who takes a swig from a can of Pepsi, then swish it around in his mouth (it is not Mr O). Disgusting!!!!!!

I'm not a fan of growing old either and would actually prefer not to be a very old lady.

As for finding true love- I still believe when you least expect it you'll turn the corner and find it waiting for you.

Haha...love your list!

Let's see...I don't want to grow old either. Sometimes I don't leave my house for days. I talk baby talk to my dog, even though he's older than dirt.

Fun post today!

Do you know how I found true love? On a wrong number. I got his friend's pager no. when my boss insisted I'd have a pager & he paged me on the 4th of July! Indeed their were fireworks, but see it could happen any time. I make up songs too especially in the shower & I love making people laugh especially my grandkids. You're not getting older, you're getting wiser. Have a good one friend!

FEAR aging. Be very, VERY afraid. There's one body part on me that isn't hurting and I won't mention it. "THEY" are listening and will attack it.

I refuse to use any pen at the doctor's office and carry my own. I HATE using those plastic "pens" to sign my name when using a credit card. People do atrocious things with their fingers, then I'm supposed to use a shared pen?????

I use my shirt-tail to open doors.

I fear things that haven't been discovered yet.

I don't cry. I get mad, but only on the INSIDE because I can't verbalize when I'm angry. I just sound pathetic and idiotic.

My new email is danawyzard@yahoo.com

I have songs for EVERYTHING! There is "Labelmaker" at work, "Mean Old Man" for the guy across the street, "Emma Smells Like Poop" just to annoy her, and anything else that pops up gets a song. Okay, so they all sound kinda similar--it's just fun. :) Glad I am not alone.
