Things I've Learned Thursday...I mean...Friday

1) I'm not a linear person. It used to be hard for me to admit but I realize that it's actually a good thing. I've learned to draw straight lines but when it comes to life, I'm more of a zigzag, squiggly kind of girl.

2) Windex works better than Raid when it comes to getting rid of ants.

3) Wasabi peas are delicious! There's just something about the spicy mixed with good.

4) You can lose a cobra although I personally think that the cobra was never lost. If it had even ended up in the parking lot, it would've swallowed a VW bug. All's well that ends well.

5) April 1st always reminds me of when my twin sis and I switched classes. We ran through the logistics so good that when it came time for the teacher to "notice", neither of them did. Before the end of class, we both announced, "April Fool's".

6) I have a hard time determining when someone is really homeless and in need of money or is just scamming people willing to hand over a buck.
There's a guy that sits at the on ramp of the freeway, even in the rain. He has a sign that reads, "Lost my wife, my job,my house, my car, my 401K and my mind, can you please help? I don't know if he's sincere or not.

7) There's a 101 ways to eat popcorn and lately, it's been with taco seasoning and melted cheese. Sometimes popcorn for dinner soothes my soul.

8) I have the most bizarrest dreams ever. The other night I dreamed that I was at a sporting event, holding a little girl in my lap and dropped her. When I picked her up, she turned into a hot dog. Anyone know what that dream meant??

9) Singing while trying to save someone's life, Glee style as witnessed on Grey's Anatomy last night, was definitely disturbing to my eyes and ears.

10) Daffodils popping up in unusual places makes me smile.

What have you learned?

Oh, I love your Thing's I've Learned Thursdays!

Totally agree about Wasabi peas - they're my new favorite thing, but I am sick and tired of lentils.

Windex better than Raid for ants? Somehow, I'm not surprised. I have a suspicion that the insects of the world are growing immune to all the common insecticides we use...just as we, ourselves are becoming immune to some antibiotics, and keep medical researchers gainfully employed creating new, stronger drugs.

You and your sister are a hoot! I bet y'all coulda fooled that old cobra and he'd a'been caught a lot sooner!

And I know what you mean about the homeless people. I feel so guilty when I don't give them anything, but stupid when I do. I've actually seen someone give one of these sign-bearing women some money, then witnessed her running over to a car behind a tree, where she handed it over to a man inside. Maybe honest...but it sure didn't look good.

Love the daffodils pooping up, especially when there's a bit of snow around them!

And one more thing...did you eat the hotdog?

I love that you are a squiggly girl!
I'm glad you have weird dreams too. I was thinking I was the only one. Last night I dreamed a whole section of my ear came off and I was trying to hide that piece - not at all concerned about what the rest of the ear looked like. Now what does that mean? I have no explanation for your dream either!

I'm glad you can lose a cobra because I would rather lose it than find it. Windex on ants? If it doesn't kill them it will at least help you see them better.

Yep, Windex is fabulous for ants. I use it when I get ant attacks in the kitchen.... which sadly, seems to be on a regular basis when it's hot and dry outside.

That missing cobra gave me the creeps. Ugh, I would have hated to be the person who found it.

Have a fabulous weekend, xo jj

Interesting, and I have to admit that I laughed out loud at the dream...that's weird :-)

About the homeless person... I think he truly lost his mind, whether the other things are true or not...

Thanks for stopping by my blog, and for your sweet comment :-)

When it comes to life, I'm also not a straight line person....what I am is more of a scribbles person.

I use cleaning products on bees and wasps all the time....mostly because I'm so afraid of them, I arm myself with whatever is closest to me.

You're incredibly funny!!!!

I've learned that my shoulders have turned into accordions. I can sleep in a recliner just fine, but when I try to sleep in bed, on my side, I wake up with my shoulders under my chin and I can't get up for the pain.

I've also learned that my dreams of having murders come in my front door at home, because I'm looking for them at the back door, have stopped since I moved away from that house. 'splain that to me.

I was just lamenting that I didn't witness any great April fools jokes this year. I hope it's not a sign of getting older.

I'm totally trying the popcorn with taco seasoning. That sounds awesome!

I have a hard time with figuring out when someone really needs help too. I think if you offer them food or to take them out to eat and they don't accept then they don't really need help. IDK...

The the April Fool's mix-up. I've always wished I were a twin.

Uh, the hot dog? Hmmm... maybe you were hungry. Or there is someone you'd like to protect but can't. There's a dream dictionary online that I normally use to interpret my dreams and it has been pretty accurate as far as identifying what and how stuff relates to my life.

Have a great weekend.

I've learned that 10 of my favorite Cheese Flavored Ruffle Potato Chips is 160 calories.
(I'm on a diet.)
And I've also learned if I eat too many of them then my jeans won't fasten!

I too enjoy Wasabi peas and they go GREAT with Champagne!!!

I enjoyed the Bronx Zoo Cobra, was follwing along on Twitter.. By the way I LOVE Twitter!!

I have learned that living in Alaska we are not earthquake proof here so I have begun to gradually amass a supply of emergency water and other items in case we get a quake that does some serious damage.

I am so not a linear person either. :)

I enjoyed your things that you've learned.
I've learned to just trust my heart instead of my head on people in need.
If there is a tug on my heart I give to the person and if not then I go on by.
I've learned that I've found a new blog that I'll enjoy reading.
Have a happy Sunday

1) Nor am I! *lol* I don't think that most creative types are.

2) Works well for silverfish bugs too.

6) I tend to give $1 when I have it and hope that I'm not being scammed. They've got to deal with the man upstairs if they're lying.

9) Was I one of the only people to love that Grey's episode???
