I lost my precious boy, Sam on Saturday to liver cancer. As sudden as it was....he was fine last Sunday and by Monday, he was struggling. I have so many wishes.
I wish I could've held him and kissed him a million more times.
I wish I would've been able to play with him and his squeak squeak instead of being absorbed in the typical busyness of life.
I wish I would've told him over and over again how much he changed my life.
Nine years ago, Sam was etched into my heart. I called him the Million Dollar Dog because he had so many close brushes with death, yet, he was resilient and tough. He gave and gave, even when at times, I knew he was too tired to give.
My Termite Inspector was and will be missed beyond words. I really don't know how I will find life okay without him because he was such an integral part of my heart.
For now, all I can say is I love you, My Sam. You are my number one boy!

I'm so sorry, Simone. By your post, it seemed though he didn't suffer long and that is something to be grateful for. I lost my dog suddenly, knowing something had to be wrong. Took him to the vet who said that his pain had to be severe and wouldn't even let me bring him home. Went for a check up and came home alone. I know how you feel with the suddenness of the loss. I just prayed for you.

Sam has left an irreplaceable paw print on everyone's heart. He was such a sweet, gentle and loveable fur baby. My prayers are with you and your girls cause I know they were also touched by having Sam as a part of their lives.
They are SO precious because they are so kind hearted and loving at all times, through all things.
I wish you could have held him longer and kissed him until his fur was wet.

I came back just to look at Sam. I'm so horribly sad for you. I had to go to Walmart today (I hate that place) and was thinking of you as I walked through. I knew the chances were you were either crying or exhausted from crying.
I am so sorry to hear about your precious loss.
I pray your heart may find peace and eventually healing.
I believe that heaven includes animals - as we are all God's creations. Which means we will some day be reunited.
