Things I've Learned Thursday

Is there such a thing as over-learning? Lately, my brain has been a learning machine. Hope it counts as exercise.

1) During my upper GI the other day, I was given fizzy stuff to drink followed by, "Don't burp. Swallow the burp back down." I learned that I should've practiced burp swallowing before the test began.

2) A way to J's daughter's heart is to allow her to paint his toenails. (I think he forgot to take it off this morning so I sure hope he doesn't have to take off his socks while at work.)

3) Almond milk is addicting!

4) I'm in awe of Jotta's talent. God definitely has given him a gift.

5) After going through the artwork and homeschooling work that my daughters did when they were little, I feel like I really DID help them to reach for their passions and creativity.

6) Even though it looks like surgery is in the near future for me, I'm actually anxious to finally get rid of the chest pains and other symptoms that I've dealt with since January. I'm ready to feel like me again.

7) It really does snow in the spring in Oregon.

8) Every time I walk into the library, I feel a sense of calm.

9) The coolest thing ever is to pray for someone I don't know! The pastor at our church talked about prayer this past Sunday and gave everyone an opportunity to pull a rock from a tall vase that had a name and/or a prayer need. I pulled a little boy's rock. I am loving the chance to pray for Peter every day!

10) Too much to make and not enough time to make it - thanks Pinterest!

What have you learned?

As usual I enjoy your list!
Practice that burping!
A sign of a good man is when they allow kids to mess with their hair or paint their toenails. J passes!

I will not live long enough to ever make everything I have pinned!
Because of my low carb diet I was looking for something with low carbs. Unsweetened Almond Milk was it and I am also in love with it!
Keeping you in my prayers for your surgery.

Oh Simone, I had to chuckle when I read about swallowing a burp, you're right, that must take practice.

And now you have me wanting to try Almond milk of all things!

Happy Friday!

Hey Simone-- Sorry about that GI test. Those are never fun.

So you've discovered Pinterest??! It's pretty addicting.

I take my hat of too anyone who home schools their kids. It's such an important job and I know how seriously you took it-- You're girls are a shining example of how to homeschool the right way.

I had to do an upper GI too! Wow, that sure is fun. NOT. And don't worry--I didn't do it "right" either. My results came back that I am aspirating a bit. Really??! And why wouldn't I be after all that gulping, fizzing, not belching, turning and twisting this way and that?? Criminy.

Pinterest is the devil and I wish it had never found me. LOL!
Almond milk is so great and I hate that I wasted so make time drinking soy milk. Why didn't anyone tell me?
I've learned that the people in my circle are more amazing than even I realize.
Prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!

Hi Simone! Oh that Pinterest, so many beautiful things, so much intention and it all just sits on the boards. One of these days I'll have time for it.
